Look at how the Trumps focus matches the peoples or at least his base (those who voted for him).

Trump doesn't really choose to talk about anything else but what the people believe is the biggest problem unlike some past presidents, they addressed it but quickly moved past it. Trump definitely is making it clear on what people see as issues and he makes it a point that he is going to fix it.

Trump does focus on big issues and is rather blunt about it. However, other presidents do address those issues because they know that the voters care about them.

All Presidents address the issues that they feel are most important. Though some of them won't stay on the topic very long if they know their opinion is against public opinion. They do this so they can appeal to the people (the voters).

Trump wants to "Make America great again" and he wants "to build a wall", by saying this he won the election.

While I agree that was the campaign slogan, and a big reason he got elected I do think he wants to address further issues

I think he also tries to appeal to the left through some of his stances on country development and infrastructure.

People in general found issue with immigration, unifying the country, and dissatisfaction with the current state of the government. He appealed to those desires and came out strong on immigration. He is acting on those assertions and can claim a mandate based on those issues. He tries to appeal to the left through his stances on infrastructure and promises to unite the country in spite of party lines.

I think it will be interesting to see how he plans to unify the country, considering some people in his own party don't even like him.

His way of bringing America together is despite of the party affiliation seems almost like a leftist idea at its core.

The biggest concerns in America right now focus on domestic issues like immigration, unifying the country, and dissatisfaction with government. Trump has had very strong opinions on these issues. In my opinion he can claim a mandate because the people that elected him have the same concerns as he does on major domestic issues.

I agree, his strong opinion towards these dilemmas will give him traction in following through with his mandate.

Trump seems to be setting a mandate that America should be put first. This encompasses several domestic issues, which are currently seen as most important amongst the people.

Although there are many concerns, at the moment people are only focused on issues within our own society, like bringing America together, restoring the government, and handling any "issues" with immigration. Due to the popular interest in these issues Trump will be able to establish his mandate, while also attempting to appeal to those that do not support him.

Trump claiming to focus on resolving several issues is another one of his attempts to settle another big issue, which is unifying the country. There are a lot of big issues so he has to try and appeal to what everyone wants by trying to fix multiple problems.

The biggest issue in the eyes of the American People is a dissatisfaction with government. In light of this, Trump has promised on numerous occasions to "Drain the Swamp" of corrupt Washington insiders that have been taking advantage of the average citizen. This is what Trump based a large majority of his campaign on, and he continues to speak volumes on this subject saying that his administration will remedy this serious issue.
